For day trips- there is the Pike Place Market (www.pikeplacemarket.com), the space needle, a few museums, the Woodland Park Zoo, the Boeing plant, and some other things. Go to www.goseattlecard.com

If you mean other destinations around Seattle, there is Leavenworth (an actual town, not the military brig), Vancouver, Canada isn't too far away, Mt. Rainier is really close, It's about a 4 hour drive from Seattle to the pacific ocean (depends on which beach you go to), and I'm sure there's more, but I've only lived in the area for a year so I haven't done a lot of exploring yet myself. Hope this helped. I have a list of things to do in the area in an Excel spreadsheet, if you want a copy, IM me, I'll send it to you.

I forgot, there are tons of whale watching cruises out there, too, as this area is home to a couple pods of Orca!

I would highly recommend the Mt. Baker Wilderness Area, Hurricane Ridge (near Port Angeles), a day trip to Victoria via the Victoria Clipper or a trip to Mt. Rainier National Park.
