you're right, and also it helps our environment, because people automatically start conserving fuel and trying to find other ways to not burn so much gasoline... but a lot of people are dumb and dont' realize this.

If gas prices were high due to taxes (instead of corporate greed) it would be better. The tax $ could fund research and alternative fuels.

High gas prices are great if your a environmentalist .
Higher prices mean less demand ,and the added tax revenue can be used for wasteful social agenda's

And you though Halliburton and Bush where the only ones to benefit from high oil prices

No, I don't. There are many people whose houses have gas heat, hot water & stove & they are struggling to pay their gas bills every month. With bills over $100 during the summer, think about what their bills will look like in the winter time.
