look at the question-who is the better home run hitter!
Hondo was 382/6488 or .0589 hr per ab vs Frank 586/10,006 or .0586 so Hondo was a better home run hitter using this method of home runs per AB!

Frank Howard could really hit a baseball a long way and was a huge man at 6"7 and over 250 lbs. He hit 382 homers and did not have as long a career as Frank Robinson who hit 586 in his great hall of fame career winning the triple crown in 1966. I believe that Frank was a little better home run hitter but a much better all around ballplayer.

You're kidding on this one, right? Frank Robinson was a much better home run hitter and everything else on the baseball field than Frank Howard. Frank Robinson was one of the best ever. He was MVP in NL with the Reds in 1961 and MVP with the Orioles in 1966, when he also won the Triple Crown ( a very rare feat ). The man hit 586 home runs in his career also. Frank Howard hit 382 home runs in this career, and some very long ones. The answer to this question is obvious to all.

No comparison! Frank Howard was just a flash in the pan compared to Frank Robinson, and Robinson is still the only man to an MVP in Both leagues.

Frank Robinson, but it's not a runaway...Hondo was a good one. Howard was hurt by playing most of his career in a poor hitting park.

I agree with those who picked Frank Robinson. The only players during that time that were equal to him or better are Mays, Aaron or Mantle.
