How many songs does a radio station have? Could I become my own radio station with my 12,000 MP3's? Oh sure I know I'd have to run under like under a watt but I'd be shareing the love of music.

Ok figuring every cd has between 12 an 13 songs per CD then you have about 1000 cds. I just called my local FM station and hebie says there are about 12,000,00 cds invarious places , did he want me to count the ones that wont get airtime too?

Flexible and Cheap Personal Broadcasting Using Your Own Computer

If you want to set up a broadcast but either don't want to pay the fees for Live365, go through the trouble of configuring your computer for SHOUTcast, or just cannot devote your computer's time and resources to being a dedicated server, there is still an option. You can broadcast from your computer whenever you want, for practically nothing, using only your dial-up connection (or broadband connection if you have it).

well first of all, radio stations only play singles, because the only music people like these days are the songs with videos, the songs that show up on MTV, teens these days have no taste of their own, the just like all songs that have videos. if you played all your songs, including songs people have never heard simply because the song can only be found on a CD, people would hear your music and be like "i haven't heard this song, it must not be popular", and turn it off. its annoying but you have to impress the kind of people that say they like AFI but have only ever heard the song miss murder.
