It depends. Lingerie is designed to get men excited about their woman, but it doesn't work on all of them. On the ones it does work on, it usually makes them want to have sex with you more, which increases your attractiveness to them (although I'm sure they want you naked as soon as possible in that situation, so it probably won't matter too much).

You can never say for sure "all Men" this or that or "all women" this or that, but for the most part men like tasteful lacy lingerie... some like one color over another color... satin and lace are usually prefered.

I love to see women in lingerie. It has difference effect according to what they are wearing, and what they have on their minds while wearing it. Nice lingerie is sexy, and comfortable for her, and a great way for her to express her feelings, or to just be herself or comfortable.
I think sexy night wear can keep sex more exciting. and build a deep closeness between couples.

I love it and it really does matter. If I'm with a girl, no matter how attractive she is if when she takes off her pants she's wearing those big hanes panties (like the kind they probably sell at Wal Mart) it really works to dampen the mood.

My guy likes to see me in lingere for two reasons. First, it let's him know that I'm interested so he doesn't have to guess. Second, he says that lingere adds mystery. Even though he's seen everything before, it looks different in lingere and makes him want to take things off and see what's underneath.
