Someone told me that coming up soon one of the planets was going to orbit close to the earth and it was going to appear bigger then the moon, and this only happens every thousand years or something. does anybody know any details?

That was an email rumor about Mars.

Thats not true. Mars will be almost be closer to Earth than it ever was. It was closer a few years ago. Mars will still only be visible as only a bright point of light, not as big as the moon as some idiots suggest.

No... that's just a rumor and it was about Mars. Not going to happen... Never ever.

I don't see how a neighboring planet could do that. Maybe they meant a comet.
