I use to go out with a guy nicknamed Emo. He was very charming and overly romantic. It ended though, he was to immature.

Emotional indie/art rock. However, in time it has been tainted with everyone's false and fake impressions. Emo is not defined by hair over the eyes, it's not defined in pouting boys with black nail polish, but it's life's complexities and hardships put into lovely songs. I am sick of all the labeling.

there's a genre of music, then there's the type of person.

i define them as kids who have it bad, or they think they have it bad.
sometimes they cut, but thats a stereotype.
they usually have short hair, dyed or bleached.
