Depends on the person. Birth Control Pills are very effective, but they are not for everyone. Do not take them if you smoke or may otherwise be prone to blood clots. Also, these obviously do not protect against STD's. The "rhythm method" does work very well for those whose religions prevent birth control use, especially with ovulation predictor kits that you can buy.

This depends by what is your defination by BEST.

Is your best referring to ease of usage? Or are you referring to effeciency.

All in all, everyone will end up telling you that the best way is abstinence because all contraeptives are not 100% fool-proof.

But if you are still okay with taking a little chance:
- fastest and least harmful to body: condom
- most convenient, better feeling: PILL

Abstance is the best but after that each has it's risks. The pill is about 99.8%, condums 99%, and it the rates drop from there. A vasctomy or tubel depends on how it is done and varies in effectiveness. Best bet DON'T have sex.
