No, not really. Colors are merely the perception of a part of the spectrum of light as it bounces off an object. Without light, there is no spectrum bounding of the object, so the mind cannot see or rather percieve the color...

That's a question that has been around for a long time.......It is said that color is still present in the objects that possess the colors but darkness obscures the color because we need light to perceive color....So some would argue that there is no color (lack of light = no color) others say it's there until the darkness is removed ..MAKE SENSE ?

NO, colors would not exist if there was no light b/c the way that they are created and were found was the visual light spectrum.

If you put a red apple into a box and seal the box so no light enters the box, does the apple cease to be red? Color still exists in darkeness but it is not perceived until light is present.

That is the best question i have came across so far!Anyway,yeah because black i a kind of color ,so i think color would still exist but not colors.

No, surfaces would have the same properties they do now, but color is a human interpretation of reflected light.

No. Color appears when something reflects part of light's color spectrum. (something appears blue because it absorbs all colors but blue). If there is no light, there is no color to absorb or reflect.

no becuase all color is is light waves and w/out light there cant be light therefore no light waves and therefore no color and balck is just a shade
