Batman is a dark and Gothic character so I would like to see him like that. Light and colorful is for Spiderman. I think Batman has a sadness to him and being dark and Gothic goes well with it.

Oh and they need another one with Val Kilmer in it.

Batman is the DARK knight. Thank goodness Christian Bale erased the image of the Batusi from my brain (Adam West, the poor man's Shatner--the horror, the horror!).

Seriously--fans of the character and comic book have to go with dark. The Adam West Batman was about as Batman as George Lazenby was James Bond.

Batman is not supposed to be colorful.

Lets see he protects a place called Gotham City. Its so dark it needed goth in its name.

He models his persona after a freakin bat. BAts are pretty dark.

I think you get the point. Everything in Batman's world is dark and gothic. It'd be stupid to make it colorful.

I like it dark and colorful. An example of what I mean is Batman and Robin. The costumes and such were colorful surrounded by a dark background and storyline.

The campiness should have died with the Adam West series, but I could never diss that show, because that's how I came up on the character (and it was fun, too). Aside from that, Batman was and is intended to be a dark character.
