I mean when you have a partner, do you get into watching the Foot Ball game too, or do you go somewhere away from the game action.

Usually I find something else to do. Football is my least favorite sport to watch. I enjoy basketball and baseball - I watch the play-offs for these 2 unless I just really don't like the teams.

I like to watch the game with my husband, 16 year old daughter, 11 & 9 year old sons. I didn't always want to, as a matter of fact I found football to difficult to learn, and no man ever wanting to take the time to teach me. So I had resigned to "hating" the game. That was until my oldest son played, one season and I was a fan! Three seasons later and I am a cheerleader! We enjoy football as a family, on the tv or from the bleachers.

GO BLUE!

Sometimes I watch with them, but I can't sit through the whole game. I used to get very annoyed at the amount of time the game was on. They'd say "only 1/2 hour to go" and it would take, like an hour, to play that 30 minutes...LOL.

When our son was in JFL, I learned more about the game, and that helped a lot.... so at least I wasn't totally clueless.

But, if I don't want to watch it, I use that time to be on the computer, or take a nap, or read a book... things I couldn't do if he were wanting to spend time with me.

If my team is playing (Raiders) then I'll watch some of it. Or if Michael Vick is playing. I watch to look at the hot guys. I have to admit I don't understand the game very well. I have a lot of female friends that do understand and watch football. So I'll watch for awhile, then get bored and go do something else. Usually cook dinner and listen to music. Or read. Or surf the web.

I am the one who is the Football junkie. I love it. My husband is from Scotland so he's more of a soccer fan (which he calls football). But I know the REAL football. I love it college and pro. I am not really into the arena football though. The question is: ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?

Sorry dude, it is just one of those sexist outdated stereotypes that women do not enjoy watching american football. Believe it or not, women of all levels of intelligence, race, sexual persuasion, in and out of relationships, watch, enjoy and understand football. Advertisers haven't figured it out, so we are stuck with tons of commercials with women sticking their silicone implants in my face and cheerleaders exposing their thongs to unreceptive eyes. You will find plenty of women who cling to the misperception, but that's not my problem. All I have to do is find things that make passing through this life more enjoyable and not worry about what other people are thinking.

Give football a chance. If you still hate it then go shopping. I watch every once in awhile. I lost interest when my brothers got older.
