Big Brother monitors everyone. Infact they have a orginization called the NSA that monitors internet traffic for all sorts of things that could invole national security and crimal activy. The FBI has been known to use a program call conavor to gather emails. But they will not talk or tell how the program works. So the question is yes big Brother is watching all of US.

I've often thought that--especially with the questions like "when's your birthday", or "where do you live", or "what's the worst thing you've ever done", or anything searching for personal information.

I'm also concerned because sometimes the researching of certain answers on here sends me to some odd websites, like Al Jazeera (and right now worrying that they've flagged this message because of my typing that) or the Nazi party website.

The government has been very upfront about the fact that they're monitoring the net.

We heard similar things about 43things.com/ Truth is, Big Brother monitors you anywhere you leave an electronic or paper trail.

Or what do you call the NSA monitoring program? Hello?

Highly unlikely. I do not believe the government will be able to intelligibly gage public opinion with all the typos, unanswered questions, and utter lack of forethought put into the majority of answers posted. If they are interested in the thoughts and opinions of 13 and 14 year olds, perhaps, but not likely.

If they do monitor the emails of known/suspected criminals/terrorists, then great.

I never thought about it before...but it honestly could be. After all, the government can monitor our phone lines and internet activities and there really is no check-and-balance to make sure they don't abuse the power. What's to stop them from creating a website to monitor popular opinion?

Yes. Some computer could be recording your questions and answers, filtering key words and developing a profile based on your interests and apparent education level.

Or else a computer could be monitoring for key words to flag potential terrorists or other dangerous people. I don't answer any questions that I think could be used by a terrorist.

It could be. Would it matter if it was? As long as you are not doing anything wrong you have nothing to worry about. That's what my mother always told me as a child. Since 9/11 the world is a different place. You can never know who is watching or listening these days.

What ever is asserted in this web page is study over with the aid of the community that classes. Somethings are presented to their interest b4 some thing takes position in what's asserted on line, yet for the most area. they say rather a lot each and every component they experience.

Anything you post on the internet could be monitored, but I wouldn't worry about it if you just posted things that are acceptable.
I wondered the same thing when I was on news message boards when I voiced my distress about the Iraq war, and the president ruining our economy.OOPS!! There I go again! I think you will be OK.

Every website is monitored! When you are on cyberspace, nothing is private - whatever you do, say, or visit, consider it being on the public bulletin board in the middle of town.
