I am pretty f*ckin' sick of taxes. Paying a bunch of bureaucrats to sit on their asses and run information through a computer and half of that sh*t has nothing to do with protecting my liberty.
If you are not vital to the protection of freedom then get out of the government feeding trough.

Don't be a dumbass ScarMan. Local communities should raise money for plowing snow, and they should also be responsible for their own children's education.

Don't be a dumbsh*t Paul. I know plenty of bureaucrats, and what you say is true. They want to make the country better. That is just the problem. You get a bunch of people in Washington, or some state government who are making decision based on ideaologies and misguided impulses, although they have no practical intimate knowledge of the people whose lives they are impacting.

Well, Sgt. Rob, good for you. My Dad served in the military for twenty years, and he is a Vietnam Vet, and since many people in the military don't support our present trend of government, that may not be as big of a problem as you make out.
Secondly, those are not the only guns available to the general public. Thirdly, do you know that if England had not been at war with France and locked down all over the globe, that the American Revolution would have never succeeded.
Fourthly, America has many enemies around the world, and it would be a small thing to engage one or more of these as an ally to overthrow our own government.
You sir, while very brainwashed into a kind of military self approval, do not realize that there are many ways to skin a cat.
Finally, most people entering the military these days are directionless young people, whose resolve would be severely tested in any kind of real war.
Iraq is not a war. It is a one sided skirmish.

One more thing, Sgt. Rob, the way you speak is proof positive of my point. Being an immature childlike individual, you have no basis of strength in yourself, and have therefore developed a kind of sense of a power trip off of your being in the military.
As a real man, and not some sort of a fraud in camo, I would be able to take you out of a Huey, with nothing but a can of bear spray.

Are you kidding me... unless you are speaking of a military coup then there will be no revolution in the US. We (us in the military) own all the guns. Sure your neighbor has a .22 and you have your daddy's shotgun but I have an M-4 and 30 other guys with me. We have Apache Longbows that fire 20 mm chain gun and hydra rockets. The hell that we can unleash is unfathomable. Before you bring up Iraq let me answer that for you. We are being held back by politicians that have never seen a battle field never carried a rifle for the country. Once those politicians see their jobs, and lives even, on the line then my friend the gloves come off.
Sgt. Rob
As a post script to your addendum to the question.... Bring it. You talk about being a real man but the only thing you have to show for it is having a real man for a father i.e. a veteran. And I thank you for your talk about how we in the military are directionless youth I am posting your comments on AKO chat right now to show how the civies think. Honestly I think that the only hope our nation has is for us, people that you call frauds in cammo, to take the power that is justly ours.

Well, you can always move to another country if you don't like the US. I don't like everything the government does either, but I sure as heck would rather live here, than say, China, or Rwanda. At least here I can say what I want and not get thrown in jail, or have some secret police show up and make me and my family mysteriously vanish in the middle of the night.
And if you rebel, you'll probably be by yourself, or with a very small following who'll probably get crushed pretty fast, so I wouldn't bother. And if it bothers you that much, then run for office, and make changes to the law (but I doubt taxes will ever go away, cause then you'll have no money to do anything to help people with, and they'll vote you out).

So, you're sick of paying taxes, and are convinced a 'bunch of bureaucrats' are eating up all your money. And because of this, you want to start a revolution?? Funny, Al Qaeda wants to do the same thing; maybe you guys should link up?
Seriously... if you ever actually meet a bureaucrat (doubt you have), you'll see someone who's swamped with work, hasn't had a raise in years, and is sick and tired of being kicked around for having 'a government job'.
They want to make the country work just as much as anyone else, and instead of cheap knocks would probably appreciate a 'thanks' once in a while.

If by revolution you mean the revamping of our entire political system then yes, I am all for it. We need to create a government in which our leaders are only rewarded for good service to the people, and bickering to one another while sitting on your hands and causing a huge rift amongst the people is not doing us a service. I wouldn't mind paying taxes if the money spent went toward benefiting the "true" American citizen. You are right, it is time for a change, fellow American.

sorry i dont agree. i personally think things could get a lot worse if people began to agree with you. we are fighting in a war right now the last thing we need is a war starting right here in our own home. I dont like the situation any more than you do but no matter how unpleasant the it may be we have to take into consideration what will be the consequences of our actions.

I wish everyone was able to and encouraged to grow their own food in their own land. Then we could agree that the only mandatory tax would be a federal one for military protection and a local one for the police. If people wanted to fund wars in other countries, they would have to spend their own money directly.

No. We are concerned with technological conveniences and the priorities that come with responsibility to sustain our current quality of life. The revolution won't happen with the current situation. Take away the responsibilities and convenience of technology, and we may have a problem.

There are two more elections to go. If Bush can't do anything about 20 million illegals but sit on his butt, what can he do about 200 million people not paying taxes?
