Not sure on the weight. The engine will run forever if you maintain it, however it produces very little power. IIRC 0-60 is around 20 seconds.
Steve, the model number refers to the engine displacement (usually), and has absolutely nothing to do with weight. the 240D is a 2.4L Diesel. the C320 is a C class with a 3.2L engine.
The BMW 540 is a 5 series with a 4.0L engine in it.
BMW and M/B are the only German auto manufactures in the US that consistently use the engine displacement in the model number, no one uses weight.
