I've been awake for the last 26 3/4 hours and I'm starting to feel pretty drunk.

yes, it kind of is. I was tired the other night and wasn't paying attention I guess and almost turned into a sign. I only had one beer so I couldn't possibly of been drunk. LOL driving while overtired is just as dangerous as driving drunk and sometimes really tired people sound drunk with their slow speech

No, it's not closely related.

Being drunk, you might be overly tired.

Being overtired is NOT a sign of being drunk. There are many reasons to be overly tired. and only one way to be drunk.

being overtired can definately make you act very silly... I had stayed awake for over 30 hours one time...I was saying the craziest things... my kids got a real kick out of it... but they did think I had lost my mind completely!!!!!

They actually did a driving test with people who were sleep deprived and said it was comparative to being drunk! So yeah- how's the buzz?

yeah....you start feeling like you are in a stupor....you slur your words, etc..... i was up over 30 hours last week....because my husband had surgery and then ended up staying overnight..... i couldn't sleep while he was in surgery or having pain or high blood pressure.......

but i didn't get to feeling drunk that time....i was so high on adrenaline...i felt tired but wired.....

but once due to a flight delay i was up for 24 hours and almost fell asleep driving me and the kids home......

Yes, your judgement is impaired, you quit making sense, you shouldn't drive, and the only cure is to sleep it off....

Go to BED:)

yes. Your reflexes are slowed and things become distorted. I think you should try to go to sleep.
