I am from US.
Most of the poor relations dates back to the Reagan days. Iran held American citizens hostage. The Iran-Contra scandal. Tensions were high at that time too, as they are today. Sanctions were developed and have been in place since the early 80's.
Now the push for nuclear power by Iran, has rekindled the mistrust (on both sides.)

1. Iran sponsors terrorest, and advocates the overthrow of the US and the death of all Jews(everywhere).
2. We want them to stop all of the above.
3. Iran sticks their nose into everybodys business.
4. US can't seem to mind our own business.
I'm from the US.
I advocate:
1. closing our borders
2. bringing our troops home
3. minding our own business
4. quit supporting other nations
5. eliminate sickness in America
6. pay off our 4+ Gazilllllllion national debt
OH!!! and set a 2 term limit on congress(just like the president)

It goes back to the U.S. support of the Shah. He was brutal in controlling his people. When the Ayatollah Khomeini took power, while the Shah was getting medical treatment overseas, the U.S. would give him back to the Iranians who wanted him dead. This started most of the hatred between the 2 counties, not to mention the support of Saddam during the Iraq-Iran War. American citizen speaking.

Because we want, NEED all of the oil in the world. Just hand it over and no one will get hurt. If not, we will send in black ops to sprinkle WMD all over your government, turn the French and Canadians against you-then we can have justification for comming into your country illegally and taking what we want.
The Bush prophesy will be fulfilled people. and there is nothing you can do to stop it. in fact everytime you pay $5 for a half of a gallon of gas, we get a little closer to fulfillment.

The US embassy hostage situation, the Islamic state that violates all human rights, their support for terrorist organizations like Hezbollah, their publically announced intent to wipe a US ally, Israel, off the face of the world, their attempt to develop nuclear weapons etc.

im mexican-american and the usa dont get along with iran cause iran have a necular program and the usa dont want to start a nucular war thats y they want stop the nucular programes

Because we are the evil empire that do things against their faith? They burn the American flag and hang presidents in effigy, just like the other Islamic states.
And we don't like them because they won't let us come in and rule them.
