Today is the 25th anniversary of the personal computer,how has it most enriched your life?

Being able to talk to my terminally ill Mom everyday through E-Mail has helped my Mom so much,me and all of my 7 siblings talk to her daily!

Aww, your details cut out the sarcastic response I'd prepared. It helps my family feel connected even though we're scattered across the US. We get together and it doesn't feel like we've missed out too much since we're constantly sharing photos.

I found the personal home computer a joy. It's been allow me to learn more about the world through the Internet. I also am able to talk to people around the world and not have to pay for one red cent on long distant phone bills. I can research post-secondary schools that offer distant education programs and also the computer has given me a chance to research for jobs. The computer is like having a encyclopedia, newspaper and telephone all in one.

When I was going thru tough times at work and home, I e-mailed my parents and siblings daily. It really got me thru a crisis and I could say things that wouldn't be overheard by an abusive mate.

Also, writing papers is so much easier today. You don't have to print out a rough draft, edit it, and then retype. Also, if you change what you want to say, all you have to do is delete.

Being able to chat with people on line is enjoyable, as are the various websites you can go to - weather at your fingertips!
