ok let me set the record straight
they have been best friends for a long time but when ashley got her new gig on the suite life of zack and cody zack faded away for awhile until they both made it into the cast of high school musical. vanessa and zack and ashley are best friends now!

They are not dating. They are just good friends. If you need proof go to
youtube.com and type zac efron nyc and watch the video.It will take a while for the question to come up but he admits hisself that they are not dating.

I don't think they're together.I kind of wish they were cuz I like her and he is a major hottie so if I can't have him I think someone decent should *lol*! They're apparantly close friends but I have a feeling that, they might be more than friends in the future, they just don't know it yet. It'll probably be like you don't know what you got till it's gone type of thing. One of them will go out with someone else and the other will get jelous.
