I was born in 1969. I remember the first sort of computer game that came out around 1979, it was called Pong and it had two white dashes for ping pong rackets and a white blip for the ball. You had to hook it up to your TV. Later we got Intellivision which was super advanced for the time, although now the graphics look primitive. Our first computer was an Apple and it had a teeny weeny screen built in, and a monitor you had to buy seperately. When I was about 15 we got a PC, I don't remember the brand but it was similar to the Commodore 64's at school. It had big floppy disks and a dot matrix printer. Me and my brother spent hours at a time playing a text based game for DOS called Zork. When they finally came out with a full graphics version of Zork, my brother thought it was cool but I hated it. The puzzles were so much lamer compared to the text version.

Well, I was born in 1968 so yeah, i guess i'm old huh? My first computer (at work) was an IBM XT and then an IBM AT. These had 5 1/4" floppy drives and the AT even had a 20Mb hard drive! At home I had an Armstrad CPC464 (with tape drive), a Commodore Vic20, then a Commodore 64, followed by a Commodore 128. At school we had BBC Micro's. They had a green or amber screen and no graphics at all unless you used text characters for graphics. We've come a long way huh?

I had a Commodore 64, and, yes, it had a floppy disk drive.
Atari has been a brand-name-only for years. They haven't made a real computer since the early 1990s, and that was the Atari Falcon 030, part of the Atari ST line of computers. If you look in the bargain bin at your local computer software store, you can find some Atari-branded software.

No we didn't have a computer, but at school, when we logged on, you had to put the phone in a cradel to get it to talk to the main computer, and it had those big floppy disks., My friend had an Atari system, and we used 8 track players for music, Van Halen, AC/DC, Queen.....and we used to watch MTV and Cheech and Chong movies for fun

I did grow up in the 80's, born in 1966, and no we did not have a computer. In fact I didn't have one until I was in my early 30's.

I was born in 81. We had and Atari, an Odyssey and a Beta machine. Actually, my dad still has all of them. I vaguely remember a dirty yellow colored computer. It was some type of laptop.

The best I had was Atari, but we had one of those computers at school. We used to play Oregon Trail and it would take forever to load. My stupid Oxen always died crossing the river.

We didn't. Here's some historical perspective for the teens out there: I didn't see my first web page until I was a sophomore in college! Class of '93
