The bible clearly speaks of these things. It states that the time will come when parents and their children will be at each others throat so to speak. it also says the time will come when people would reject sound doctrine of good teachings. The bible has not failed in any prophecy yet and never will.

I think morality is in a downward spiral in general. Not just among the youth. I can remember a time where if there was rule and your child was breaking said rule the parents said something to the child. They didn't just let the child get away with the rule breaking.

I do not think the morality among the youth today is on a downward spiral. People may think that because it is a lot different from when they grew up, but times are changing and so is deep culture. The morality is the same but there are just different values, and different thing that are and aren't important.

Morality as a whole has been in a downward spiral for years. It's not just the youth.

Morality even among the elderly is on a downward spiral but there are some wonderfully strong young people who are trying very hard to fight the trends and remain morally chaste. I commend them every one!!

Not really, but I think they're in danger of losing touch with the real world by spending too much time enthralled by the virtual ones. Like that commercial where the boy on the bus holds up his phone that's playing a video of the sexed-up Hollywood female star and blocks out the real girl walking down the aisle of the bus.

It depends on which particular youths you are talking about. I find most youths in the Philippines, for example, to be quite sweet and "moral" (whatever that means). Please don't generalize and be more specific as to what particular youths you want answers for. Some youths in the U.S. are "good" and some are "not-so-good", but I believe that can be changed when we start teaching them more about values and less about facts, dates and places in school.

If you have no role models it is hardly surprising. With the free love, drugs and rebellion of the sixties as a template and with people who now have kids being from that generation that, if anywhere, is where the immorality lies. Youth today haven't topped the amorality of the sixties.

It started spiraling in the 60s, and has picked up speed with every passing year. We as parents are to blame, if we aren't teaching our kids...who is? T.V. movies, magazines!

Well, I kind of do because most of them want to do bad things or rebel against their parents a lot just to see them suffer but a small percent of youths are very obedient to their elders.
