I'm sure the English teacher had the police called in on a spelling infraction. That alone should have put him in the slammer for awhile.
Spas, the main pages of the website containing that picture don't mention President Bush. It's mostly techy, iPod/inventor blogstuff. Apparently the school campaign was a fortuitous inspiration. No wonder the kid is pissed.

I think the things that people will attempt to sue for these days are ridiculous. Lawsuits were intended for situations where a person was actually wronged/injured in some way that they couldn't have guarded themselves against with common sense alone.
Quite frankly, his poster could essentially be considered a death threat against President Bush. In addition, the school is public property, not his own private property. Therefore, the school officials have the final say in what is put up and what isn't.
The self-proclaimed "hero" needs to grow up and find more appropriate and constructive ways to display anti-Bush sentiments. Somebody call the waaaaahmbulance is all I have to say with regards to his desired lawsuit.

A threat to the President of the United States carries 15 years (I do believe) on conviction. Your hero may be seeing puberty out in jail but just think how up on sex ed he'll be for doing something so cool as putting up a poster.

Technically, since we're at war, he committed treason. But, seriously, while we do have the right to freedom of speech I'm not sure that his school was the proper place to express this opinion. Most schools make it very clear that they will not tolerate abrasive or threatening messages at school. Given that, he knew what the consequences were before he did this, and, as such, I don't think he should be able to sue.

Hey, I'm all for free speech..but the stupid kid could've said on his poster, "Bush Sux". But what he said enters the area of terrorism and he should have been expelled. If he wins a suit like that, it's a damn shame.

Publicly threatening someone no matter who they are in the United States is against the law. But if he were saying Osama Bin Ladin then I doubt anyone would have cared. How Ironic. Yet Bush and OBL are both killing people.

Not only is threating anyone against the law, but threatening the President is a federal offense. He'll likely get sent to butt-fu*k Leavenworth. I suspect he will enjoy it.

I think it is ridiculous. It seems like when people don't get their way, they want to sue. These same people that say they are for freedom of speach are the same ones that want to take that right away from republicans and christians.

I think it should be taken seriously- with all that our country has suffered recently people need to realize that we are in a very sensitive & cautious time.
