Not at all. I've been out of high school for three years. Granted, it was tough. Had a few questionable teachers, including one who was extremely delusional. Somehow, someway, she believed the government controlled the weather. She believed President Bush sat behind a big map and directed hurricanes towards Florida.

Had a couple of nasty rumors started against me. One ended with a group of parents threatening to sue the school.

In high school, I "discovered" myself. Drove my parents crazy I matured. Learned much about myself. Developed many friendships. Won a couple of awards.

Watched a cocky-know-it-all person get shoved and locked in a locker. What was funny about it was that the principal told us it was impossible to get locked in a locker. However, that particular student was the perfect size to fit in it. Never back talked anyone again.

There's nothing to worry about high school. Study and work hard. Have fun. And, keep your mouth shut unless you know what you are talking about.

Good luck!

PS: Just beware of the "mystery meat" in the cafeteria. General rule of thumb: if you cannot tell what it was in its former life, don't eat it.

high school is fun for some, anxiety riddled for others. Let's face it, not every kid enjoys the 4 years of high-school.

That said, even if it feels tough, pretty much all kids get through it and move on to college, then adulthood, and as time goes on, people become less petty and you become more confident in yourself. It's a learning process and all kids go through it.

Everyone is nervous when they forst start highschool but don't be scared. Try to look at it as a fresh start. Change your look and your attitude about school. Highschool will be a wonderful time of your life if you make it that way.

I agree. It's not as bad as you think. It's a little bit harder, but that's kind of the point. You'll do fine.

there is nothing to worry about, but i would not have high expectations in the 9th grade. 10,11,12 is usually the best.

Not unless you plan on doing something stupid. Take it in stride, do your best and be true to yourself and what you want to do with your future.
