I have always used PCs until today when I bought a Mac Book Pro. I installed the Palm software onto my Mac, but I'm afraid to hotsync for fear of what will happen. How do, or can I even do this? I know that Palm isn't famous for their customer support and I haven't found anything in the manual or on their website covering this topic.

Thank you so much!

Can I sync back and forth between my desktop PC and my Mac Book Pro? And, what about all my Palm software for PCs that I use on my Palm? Do I need to buy Parallel software, would that be best?

You can sync between the two types of computer without any problem. However, just as a precaution, I would backup all the data on your Palm using a backup card or backup software.

I've done it before. Just be shure the backup conduit is set to "Palm overwrites desktop" and you'll be fine.
