It can be normal. Some babies have reflux. Your baby is probably spitting up less of her total feeding than it looks like. Of course your doctor will have more insight, but as long as she is gaining weight steadily along her curve then she is fine.
Breast milk is MUCH, MUCH better for babies tummies than any of the formulas out there, even the soy based. So, you can rest assured that whatever issue your baby has, it would be worse were she being bottle fed.
Good luck!

It is a good idea that you are taking your little one to the doctor. My seventh baby threw me for a loop when she would throw up just about everything almost right after feeding her. None of my other children had done that before. I took her to the doctor and they did a painless test like an altra sound. Only it was done for her stomach. It turned out that she had a very common problem. Her stomach muscles hadn't developed all the way. In due time she got better on her own. It was scarey though. Good luck and keep us updated.

Not normal, no. A little "spitting up" is normal, especially if you're forgetting to burp appropriately, but that may only apply to formula-fed babies, even... I'm not positive on that. I'm glad you're taking her to the doctor, and that she's still on breast milk, which is the best thing for a baby who is obviously already having some health problems.
The doctor will be able to say more, of course, but it could be as simple as reflux, or upset stomach. One thing that helps with tummy issues in babies is putting them to sleep propped up instead of laying down. For example, let her to sleep in a car set, carrier, or swing. An amby baby nest may be the best bed for baby, if the propped-up thing helps. Also prevents sudden infant death, so you may be interested even if it doesn't solve the throwing up.

It could be a lot of thing but normal is not one of them. They could have contracted a stomach bug, that has been going around this area of NY (upstate) pretty good. My daughter stays in the house all the time we take her out as little as possible. But it could also be something more serious. If you feel that the baby is becoming dehydrated then don't hesitate taking them into the ER. Try to push fluids and continue to try to brest feed. They might be getting a little into there system. Try pushing a little water. (it is ok to give water to an infant)
Good luck and hope you little one feels better soon.

If you mean actual vomiting, no, that's normal. If you mean spitting up...yes, it's perfectly normal. Some babies spit up because they have reflux, and some babies just spit up for no apparent reason. My sons' pediatrician told me that some babies projectile spit up until they're 8 or 9 months old, after every bottle, and still continue to thrive and gain weight. I'm glad you're taking your baby to the doctor tomorrow. :)
My older son spit up for no apparent reason. We had him to the doctor more times than I care to count. Eventually we switched him to a hypoallergenic formula and his spitting up got better, but didn't totally go away until he was 3 or 4 months old. He was also colicky, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it.
My younger son was diagnosed with reflux and was put on Zantac, and he too got better, but still spit up a tiny bit.
Aside from that, my only advice to you is to stock pile some bibs and burp cloths. I don't know about breastmilk, but formula stains TERRIBLY (especially Similac) and unless you want a bunch of ruined outfits for your daughter (and you!), you'll need them.
Good luck, and I hope she's OK!

Glad to hear you're taking her to the Dr. tomorrow. Good choice! I have a niece and a good friend who have both had this problem (both breastfeeding). One was a reflux problem, treated with medication. The other was an allergy problem, which they are still experimenting with for proper treatment. Neither one has had surgery involved at this point, and is not life threatening. Good luck, you're a good Mom for following through!

Well, her system may just be a little behind, like my daughters was. She was only 2 weeks premature, but it still affected her. She only had breatmilk for 10 months, and she even threw that up EVERY time. It just depends on their little system. My daughter couldnt even handle baby cereal. So I nursed her for an entire year, did a lot of laundry, smelled of sour milk all the time, and now she is a normal, healthy little girl who can and will eat anything. Congrats and good luck!

Are you burping the baby while feeing it? Just burping it after the feeding does not cut it at the age it is now you have to burp in every few minutes during feeding.
Another problem may be you are feeding the baby to much. Babies can only stand so much or it may be that breast milk makes it sick.
Some babies just can not stand certain formula or milk and that does go for breast milk as well.

No it is not normal for a baby to throw up after every feeding, especially breast milk which is the easiest thing to digest. you daughter may have GIRD Gastro Intestinal Reflux Disease. GIRD is easy to control through diet ( you will have to control your diet while nursing), and medicine. GIRD is when your baby starts to digest milk (or anything else) stomach acid begins to wash up in to the esophogus causing irritation which can lead to coughing, and vomiting. I will pray for your daughter and I am sure she will be just fine.

No, a friend of mine had the same problem, and don't want to scare you, but the baby needed surgery, (not life threatening) something about the stmoach muscle being to big and blocking off the passage to the stomach. Seeing the doctor is a very good idea.
