Well, you did it backwards and wasted a lot of energy. Before you got up, you should have picked up the sticks and then gotten up. Once you got up, you had to bend over again to pick them up. Next time, plan it out better. I know this sounds simple, but I have no arms or legs and it's very difficult for me to do such activities...especially to type this answer.
