My son just turned 10 years old in July and my X-wife leaves him in charge of his 3 year old and 2 year old little brother .This really bothers the hell out of me .I mean what if something happens to him .Also what if something happens to his siblings ,he'll never get over it .I think my x is putting way to much much faith in his maturity.My son started this when he was only 9 years old(this fact was recently brought to my attention). My X acts like there is nothing wrong at all with this decision to make our 10 year old her impromptu baby sitter .She claims that she is only gone for 30 minutes or so , just run to the store or something . Also the divorce agreement facts:Joint custody with my X having primary care . Her best attempts at justifying her actions is that she lives on a culdesac in a good neghborhood.My thoughts:People rob good hoods not ghettos

I think it would be OK to leave him while she's at the store for 30 minutes, but she should never leave him in charge of a 2 and 3 year old. That's irresponsible! Call the sheriff's office and ask them about it.

If you have joint custody, just go get him.
