what's this obsession with the world ending? really really bad things may happen, but this whole concept of some gigantic light switch being flicked off is a bit naive. And i don't think the sort of world-ending nuclear warfare depicted in War Games is possible because there is no incentive for any nation to "blow up the world" Worst case scenario is we lose a few major cities and plunge into sever economic depression. Our species has endured worse things.

the mid east has been the same for years now. so i doubt that it will ever change. i remember when the gulf war started when i was in high school. in fact i wrote a poem about suddam hussein which earnt me an A. so therefore thats why i conclude that mid east will be the same.
