If you could create a new holiday, what person or event would it honor and how would you want people to celebrate it?why?

I would create a holiday called "Diversity Day". In that day, you would celebrate diversity by inviting as many people as possible to your party where they have the most dissimilar qualities as you have. For example, if you are white, then you would invite, brown, black, green, orange, purple, and so on, people. If you are rich, then you would invite poor, transient, the destitute, and so on. And likewise if you are poor, you invite the rich, the priviledged, the elite, and so on. The more people who are invited and have a good time at your party, the more successful is your attempt at bridging cultural, religious, social gaps based upon superficial differences that create disharmony and unrest in the world.

My kids want to have a kids day kinda like Mothers Day or Fathers day. That way they can get presents and do whatever they want the whole day!!!
