How many people have, like me, gone from supporting Israel's 'right to exist' a few weeks ago, to wishing this heartless nation would just disappear off the face of the earth?

Giovanni9686. Nice point. Everybody knows that Israel is the cause of the conflict in the Middle East, maybe now the world will have the guts to say it out loud, and do something about it. Perhaps I was being too harsh in saying 'disappear off the face of the world', but Israel must seek 'acceptance' in it's neighbourhood.
Maybe it's too late.

I've always recognized their right to exist, and still do, but think it was a collossal diplomatic blunder for the US to support them the way it has over the last 50 years. Many would argue that this is one of the root causes of our problems with Middle-Eastern relations.

Why do you think people will change their minds ?
Israel has been always what it is : A TERRORIST STATE.
People that support it knew it from the beginning and they deffend killing children as they have always.
Now Hizboullah started this. Let's think, you have to define started this for them . Does occupation started anything, No according to the Lunetic Zionists, Does "TARGETED KILLING" started any thing, No Palestinians should die daily ( remember that family on the beach ) and stay still...
They just don't consider Arabs/Muslims as human and killing them doesn't start anything. Now a military operation against an occupying force and taking soldiers as prisoners started "IT" and according to the same sick logic the answer may include the massacre of hundreds of civilians ( they have that right because they are "civilized").
Pathetic...
Let me repeat it : TERORISM is disgusting no matter is the excuse and if you think that occupying a country and the every day killing of it's people dosn't justify it then how can taking a military prisoner justify it ???? ...

I supported them a long time ago, but stopped when a Jewish friend of mine told me what really happened in that part of the world.

Israel has been taking those people's land and killing them for throwing rocks now they are dropping bombs on them and America supports their genocide.

Israel is as evil as any Nazi.

I'm even more in favor of Israel doing what they're doing. The more terrorists they kill, the easier it makes it for the US.

I wouldn't go that far as to wish them to oblivion. But they sure as hell can't play the part of the whipping boy anymore.

I support them a hundred percent. Why should they keep taking crap?

If someone kept hitting you over the head, would you just stand there forever?

No. I'm proud of them for having the courage and the determination to stick with something that is so horrible, yet so necessary.
