Here's the problem...Suzanne was having a party at her house. The group was discussing birthdays and talking about plannig parties. After a while Suzanne said, "There is something interestihng about my birthday. Two days ago I was 13, but next year i'll be 16." If suzanne was telling the truth, what kind of party was she having?

It was a New Years Party. The year does not make a difference, but let's assume it is January 1, 1991. Suzanne's birthday is December 31. Two days ago was December 30, 1990, when Suzanne was 13. On December 31, 1990, she was 14. On December 31, 1991, she will be 15, and on December 31, 1992, she will be 16.

i dont know what kind of party she was having but that is not a math problem it is a brain teaser. it more involves brain storming than anything else. math is about numbers and solving problems with numbers. if you got that problem in a math class i say shame on the teacher.
