I recently caught something on camera which I was convinced was unusual, but after a bit of proper analysing of the photo turned out to be a large diving bird. Anyone who has visited the Loch will know how it can easily play tricks on the eye. I did once see a very large dark shape under the water there once, but again there are many explanations. My question is has anyone seen something in the loch they could not readily explain away, or better still have any pictures? and also what are your theories as to what the creature is? No idiotic/smartass/silly answers please. Also I couldnt care less if you dont believe it exists. aloof skeptics just annoy me. post scornful drivel if you must but dont expect 10 points for it.

I believe there are many unexplainable things in this world, just because scientists cant prove the existence of something doesn't mean its not there. How many sightings do there need to be of Bigfoot for example for the white coats to start taking an interest rather than saying its just a hoax....as for dear old Nessie i am sure that she is there and i am sure there are more people around the area of loch ness who have seen alot more than they should have but are being silent as the white coats once again say there is nothing down there, what do they want a dead sample before they categorically say oh yes everyone was right..........

well i believe in Nessy. there are lots of underground caves that it and others could be living in,. they are probably a prehistoric fish or some thing on that line. the loch ness is the deepest loch in Scotland and even though it fresh water who's to say there isn't a underwater cavern that links it to the ocean and that the sea creature doesn't go through this under water cave and end up in the loch, thousands a new creatures are found every year in the depths of the ocean. maybe Nessy makes the trip from the ocean to the loch for a reason like reproduction or food supplies.
its just wonderful to have a adventure of the unknown in a world where it seems there is nothing left to discover.

Ah, Nessie has been a stirrin' up the waters o' controversy for many a twelve months. I used to artwork at a technological understanding center that despatched a team of scientists around the extensive water to seek for that elusive gorgeous lass and her family individuals. They be no longer a findin her, inspite of all their high priced as much as date equipment. shows the wiles of the female while she desires to be on my own. I do have self belief there be a somethin' down there that's powerful thrilling and purely she is conscious while and the place she'll be on any given day. There be motives historical cartographers mentioned "There be dragons right here," while all nonetheless concept the international substitute into flat. Ah, my well-liked mythical creature could be the Phoenix, and long formerly HP got here on the scene. chinese language mythology has some effectual memories approximately what creatures help the international. some have mentioned the Phoenix substitute right into a go between an eagle and the Peacock, yet I say, 'tis a species all his own.

Please visit the FORTEAN TIMES web-site.They have lots of facinating links to other sites such as CRYPTOMUNDO that deal specifically with the alledged sightings of unusual beasts. They also have a great number of photos and records on the Loch Ness monster.
People have always seen lake monsters and in many locations around the world (not just Scotland). Some have been explained some have not.The big issue is really why we are so very interested in them. That comes from some very old part of the brain I think. You've only to watch the people in museums to realize just how strong a grip they have on us.

I believe in many things, that others dont .
And I have seen many " unusual" things in my life.
I have never been to Loch Ness, but I have seen film of it.
I have also spent a great deal of time in, on , around the ocean....
I have seen many strange things that I can not really explain.
Nature is intriguing, enjoy its mysteries.

well see, if there was a loch ness monster, it'd be dead by now innit, i mean these rumors started a hell of a while ago! unless there's a whole family of them down there, and to sustain this amount of sightings, and for so many of them to fit nicely with others...i have to say i dont doubt it! although the original one is probably dead,

No I have never seen it but it probably exists. Millions of years ago the lake was probably really big and several dinosaurs lived in it. Now the lake is much smaller but some of the dinosaur species survived and they now live deep in the lake.
