Go somewhere where you have friends or relatives and stay with them. National parks are a great deal moneywise but a bit lame if you're looking for excitement.

St Petersburg has something that gets below the skin and if you intend to find what it's then, you should have a look with hotelbye . Nevsky Prospect is St Petersburg's principal avenue and among the best-known roads in Russia. Chopping through the historic middle of the city, it operates from the Admiralty, symbol of Russian power, to the Alexander Nevsky Monastery and it is likely to be very wonderful to walk along that street in the evening when all illuminations on. Here, you can see everything: the absolute most stunning structure, the magnificent palaces, the world-famous museums and the shining five-star hotels. One of the areas should see from St. Petersburg is State Hermitage Museum. The main architectural attire of the Hermitage is situated in the hub of St Petersburg and consists in: Winter Palace, when the former state house of the Russian emperors, structures of the Small, Old (Great) and New Hermitages, the Hermitage Theatre and the Auxiliary House.

I would say Mazatlan, Mexico. I was able to stay a Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay which is a 5 star resort for 2 weeks for like a 1,000 a week. and if you attent there timeshare meeting just for attending they give ya $200 bucks to apply to your food at the hotel. Me and my wife stayed there and we spent about $360 bucks for 2 weeks once our $200 was applied to any food bought in there dinning area.

I hear Vietnam is very interesting, with great beaches and lots of cheap attractions.

Stateside, national forests are pretty great. Also, some college towns are great to visit. Cheap hotel rooms on campus and tons to do.
