i got 2 hard drives on my pc, when i try to boot with the hard i got problem,a blue screen appears and the pc restarts and so on,when i boot with the other hard,the disk drive for example D appears but when i click on it there's that message insert volume serial number,do i have to format this hard? and is there any solution to save the data on it?

Heinz M, already answered your question that you ask about 20 minutes ago.... When you install harddrives, they have to be formatted and assigned Volume Serial Numbers so that they may be identified by sources from the PC, You need to set one harddrive as "Master" and One at "Slave" or at least the other at "Cable Select"... You just cannot throw more than one drive on a PC and magically they work, everything has to be precise in order to make it work, yes there are Tech's Like myself that can rescue data from all sources of locations, Harddrives, CD's, Floppies, USB FlashDrives, but it can get expensive...
