Why do child molesters......?

Sorry, I dont mean to offend anyone. I'm watching dateline right now and they're having a story about a child molester.

Alot of times, not all, but seems like majority of the time when you hear a story about a child molestation case, it's a male molesting a little boy. Are the molesters gay too? Oprah also had a show where the molester was molesting boys and he was male. (not that whether it's male or female is any better or worse)

Sorry, this might sound like a silly question the thought just came in mind.

I want to clarify my question a bit.........I guess what I was really asking was....do they care if it's a boy or girl? (again not to offend anyone)......but when you here preists molesting alter boys, it's always alter BOYS that you hear on TV. in any case, they should all be locked up.

Child molesters are drawn to a particular gender most of the time. Then there are some who don't care which.

The shows you saw just happend to feature pedophiles who preferred boys.

Like other said it isbout power . Though it is also a sexual problem pedophiles usually ar not very sexually active with adults some are or barley . They are twisted people
Who should nver be let out of prison ,. but it is more important too keep a pot head in prison for20 years so we let them out , I do not kmnow if thy are gay orstraight . itcould be that pedophial is a sexual orientaion in itself but that does not make it right . andf yes most have been moslted them sleves but alot of people who have been molested do not go onto become child molesteser . .
Part of the porblem is that every behavior is now a diseaase that needs treatment not prison !
In he end it does not matter they belong loked upo and only let out o exersise an hour a day. thy get trated better than regualrinmates thier own cell block so they do not get shanked or beat to a pulp and all sortsof perks .like jobs in a safe area . Theyvget treatment and if they aregood , easy to do in a safe highly secuire cell block they get early release ! tet smoke some pot and your are going away for a while not a hance at earlyrealese somthing is wrong and letting the pedophiles out is not a smart move. it just makes thing worse and puts kids at risk BTW alot of molsters ar reltated to thier victim oftena step father or father . . or a clse friend of the family not the stanger .

A lot of times people who molest children were molested in their past and will follow the pattern.I.E. A mans father molested him as a little boy so now he molests other boys. Then again sometimes it is a sick need that can be due to mental illness, alcohol, or drug abuse.

Both sexes abuse children but it is more prevalent with men abusing females although there is loads of little boys used by perverts. The drive may be to dominate and take away the innocence that they lost long ago. There are also influences caused by failed relationships with adult partners. Girls are molested many times more than boys.

Child molestation has nothing to do with sexual gratification or sexual orientation. It's about control and power.
There's a common myth that gays are more likely to be child molesters but in no way is that true.
People sexually abuse children (and abusers can be men or women) to degrade and humilate the child while fulfilling some type of sick need.

only the child molester knows for sure what goes through their brains, I don't want to know why they do what they do or if there is a way to cure or rehabilitate them, I just want them to all die, like a mass extinction, they obviously got something wrong with their brains, they should be put to sleep like a rabid animal, actually I think the rabid animal is more deserving of trying to save than a child molester

Does it matter? You're violating a child. They make guns, and for those who "can't pull the trigger" or "can't live with the thought of knowing they killed someone", HAND IT OVER!!! I'll execute any capital punishment means on someone who harms a child, or any other innocent person...

this is called a cycle of abuse. there is a 99 percent chance that the pedophile has been abused themselves,which leads them to want to abuse someone else. there is also less than a 99 percent chance that it is something sexual, usually it is about having control over something helpless, weak and innocent.
