I love end of the world movies but I have only seen the "blockbuster" ones like Armegedon (sucked!). Do you know of any good, more obscure ones?

There was a post apocalyptic movie called Threads (British film) that appeared around the same time as The Day After that I thought was really good. I haven't seen it years but it was pretty shocking.
