I am moving and would like to use all the old phone books paper to wrap dishes, glasses, etc. instead of newspaper.

It is much the same kind of ink that is used in newspapers. You shouldn't have any problem. I'm guessing that you will want to wash the items after unwrapping at your new home.

It's not safe to eat or anything but I guess you could do that to your dishes just be careful that u dont get ink poisoning.

no more harmful then newspaper ink.Wash the dishes and glasses well after unpacking .

most dyes they use are water soluable. It may end up on your dishes but it should easily wash off.
