The website is not online yet, which means I am still building it. The pictures have been scanned into my computer and I have them on my desktop. How do I get them on my website, when neither the website or the pictures are online? I have to get them on the webpage before I actually put it online.
Please note that I am putting text as a link to the pictures. For example, the first picture will be named "Folsom Project, Before" and when someone clicks on those words, it will open up to a picture of a house before I painted it. The second picture will be named "Folsom Project, After", and when someone clicks on those words it will open up to a picture of a house after I painted it. Thanks.

Use photobucket and copy and paste the code it gives for the pictures onto your website.

If the HTML page you are writing is also on the desktop do the following.

If the HTML page you are writing is not on the desktop, move the pictures to the same folder as the HTML page.

A link to the pics could go like this:

My Picture

If you are building several pages or using several pictures, you might consider putting your pictures in a subdirecting called "images". Your link would then be:

My Picture
