9 years so far and will never give it up. My ex wife used the children against me and damaged them emotionally for life. They are teens now and are finally seeing the truth and are disillusioned with their mothers actions. I will begrudge her till her death and with any luck that wont be too soon.

I held a grudge against a dear friend from college for about a year. It was sad and frustrating for me because we were inseparable during college. We are still not back where we were, but we both wish each other no ill-will and touch base every now and then. I still regret it & what was it over? Honestly don't even remember. So it must have been something trivial.

i was friends with a guy that i happened to have feelings for, my other best friend was pushing me to date him but the day before i was going ask him out, she started flirting with him. long story short, they were together by the end of the weekend and i had to watch them together for a good 7 months before I had a chance agian. I held that grudge for years, i am now married to that guy and all is healed, but sometimes it still hurts to think about...and it was a least 5 years ago.

the longest grudge i have held is for 4 years and counting because my cousin introduced me to a friend of his we became friends but he was deployed in 2001 right after 9/11 and I never heard from him until mid 2004 and he got stationed to germany in late 2004 and i never heard from him again after he called me in July of 2004

I think the longest gudge I ever had was 10 years or maybe a little less. A neighbor got huffy with me cause she was trying to take all the fruit from my parents fruit trees and I told her to leave.... and we've been enemies ever since...we kinda started talking again but it was never the same.

I cannot remember; probably many years, but fortunately I've realized how absolutely pointless it is. You miss out on time you can never get back. Ask yourself....is it really worth it? It just ends up eating at YOU and why have that type of resentment/hate. Just because you forgive does not mean you have to forget.

about 7 years and probably always will....Why? Because we are soooooooooo different and she is such a liar and I don't agree with anything she's ever said or done. She needs to mind her own business and stay out of people's lives. Yeah, I sound pretty bitter...I betcha I hold this one to the grave.

For me, it was (is) 25 years for the way one of my friends
mis-treated another of my friends.

However, my grandfather was pissed off at his sister for more
than 50 years. It ended when he died (96).

We don't get grudges easily in my family. But those we get,
we keep.
