I've been using Linksys for years with no problems.

Wireless router (takes the wired connection from your modem and broadcasts it over the air): My favorite would have to be the Apple Airport Extreme, due to its flawless integration with Apple computers, but it is quiet expensive. So if you are looking for a cheaper, or a PC configurable router, I would recomend something from Netgear. Alot of people recomend Linkysys, but I have had very bad experience with them since they were purchased by Cisco Systems. They have turned into the economy brand of Cisco Systems, so they have dropped in quality. I would recomend the WGR614 from netgear, a fairly basic 802.11g/b wireless router.

But a router isn't the only thing you are going to need, you need an bridge as well. A bridge is what converts the wireless signal into a wired ethernet cable that you can connect to your video game console. DO NOT GET FOOLED BY THE "MADE FOR GAMING" ADDS ON BRIDGES!! They are scams to get you to pay more, as they are all basically exactally the same. I would recomend staying with the same brand, so if you are going with the Apple Airport Extreme, get an Apple Airport Express and configure it as a bridge. But if you are going with the Netgear router, I cannot currently find a good, cheap Netgear bridge, so try a Linksys WET54G. Yes, I know, I have chosen a Linksys even though I said I dislike them, but I have only had a bad experience with their routers and access points, I have a bridge that I still use today with no problems.

I hope that helps, it took a while to make :)
