there arent globes of just europe because a globe is a model of the whole world.

Depends on the globe maker. I broke one at school and it was actually hollow. Almost like paper mache. Kinda cool. It was really old, though, so I'm not sure about them today. The globe represents the earth, and is a good model b/c it reflects the actually shape of this planet. Europe is better represented two-dimensionally on a map, as it is not a sphere.
