Personally, I think the threat of terrorism is real but I'm not ok with the reaction...taking away rights to ensure order.

Personally, I think the threat of global warming is real but is being exaggerated. I think Michael Crichton said it best, "The earth IS warming, both naturally and because of man. How much of the warming is because of man isn't known (paraphrased)"

I do think that there is terrorism threatening this country. It is just not a scare tactic. However using scare tactics to take away our rights and freedoms is just wrong. If we change our way of life to accommodate the terrorist then the terrorist have won.
Global warming is a fact. A scientific fact. I think that the earth warms and cools in cycles. We are on the warm side of this cycle. I do think that man and his use of fossil fuels is contributing to this. I do not think this is a scare tactic but rather information that we should all be aware of.

terrorism is a lot of scare tactics. I mean they haven't really said how they got any of the info about the potential terrorists on the planes. They have made a bunch of arrests, all without reason and they have 28 days to think of the charges. I'm not saying that noting would have happened, but it is possible it was made up. Maybe the government is going to use this as an opportunity to start another war, now that everyone is worried about terrorists.

I dont think there is much scare tactics involved with global warming. WE have enough evidence right now to know we are on the edge of a disaster, but the government still refuses to do much about it. Lots of other nations have started working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other stuff that cause global warming, but the U.S hasn't done much. Bush even claims the earth is cooling down

The threat of terrorism is real. The government is using it, however, to push their own agenda through scare tactics and excuses.

The treat of global warming is real, based on decades of research by thousands of scientists worldwide. But it's not something to be scared about, it's something to work on.

Regardless of how badly we're damaging the planet, nobody who pays attention can say we aren't causing any damage. Regardless of how much pollution from fossil fuels is being dumped into the atmosphere, everybody can agree its too much. So, it doesn't matter whether the doomsday predictions are correct or not. It's a known problem with a known cause and an achievable solution.

Terrorism is manufactured to a great extent.. I am not saying that there isn't a terrorist threat in the world .. what I am saying is where it comes from and who's behind what is up for debate..

Global warming may well be a natural cycle of nature and yes we are in the midst of a magnetic pole shift ..but dumping millions of tons of carbon and other particulate into the atmosphere for the last 75 years has most certainly exaggerating the condition..

Republican, Democrats.. Pigs in the same Pen.. Progressives and Fascists are the real definitions and which one would you like to consider yourself ?.. I know where I want to be counted

I think the terrorism is real and both parties are using it in both ways as you said.
Global warming has taken a back seat to terrorism and usually alot of issues from time to time but I think that issue is more scare tactics, again used by anyone who can benefit.

It is amazing to me that when the Republicans are on their collective arss then the neocon's are equating Democrats with Republicans as if both parties lied there way into a disastrous war.
Sorry partner, but the Republicans could not wait for the Mission Accomplished speech. Do you remember? The problem, of course, is that it was a fantasy war that Bush ordered our troops into and he won in his own mind. It was the Republicans who thought he would go down as the greatest thing since FDR.
Oh, how wrong you republicans where, and how dam foolish you look to the whole world now.
So just go ahead and try and equate the Republicans with your last Great President, Dwight Eisenhower.
But Bush is no Dwight Eisenhower and the Republicans are the ones that created the K St. Gang and kissed Delay's arss.

Global Warming and Terrorism are probably undertoned by the news. We don't see the gore of terrorism, and we don't see the aftershocks of global warming (except the water rushing in).

Republicans go on the offensive after terroism and try to prevent it.
Democrats play defensive and try to limitl it.

Global warming is the greatest hoax ever created.
From June 1 to August 31, 1930, 21 days had high temperatures that were 100 degrees or above. Are we anywhere near that? I didn’t think so.

The highest temperature recorded anywhere on Earth was in Aziziyah, Libya, in September of 1922 -136 degrees.
The highest temperature recorded in the United States was in Death Valley, Californina, in July of 1913 – 134 degrees Fahrenheit.

Loooooong before "man made global warming"

Terrorism is real and has been real for nearly 30 years. Nothing meaningful has been done to confront it until the Taliban was attacked and a terror-harboring led country like Iraq was changed.
Global warming is nothing but junk science.

If we get attacked, then it is real. How can there not be a threat of terrorism in the U.S.? I mean, we are at war with them , aren't we? Sometimes people don't want to accept the fact that terrorism is scary and we need to face it head on if we are going to stop it.

We will find out just how real it is in the next 500 years, won't we.
