if i do talk to the dead and after i do will they hurt me or anything or will the souls fallow me thats wut im scared of can any one help me feel better about doing this

When you pray, you need to pray to your father in heaven (God), not to some dead individual.
If on the other hand, you're talking about a seance or a ouija board, then you could be playing with fire. This behavior (I believe, although not scientific ofcourse) could invite evil into your home.
If this has happened, You should receive a blessing both on yourself and on your home. To receive help, ask a Mormon missionary for a blessing. I'm not trying to preach, but this has made me feel better, and given me greater peace. They use consecrated oil to do this.

No, they won't. Did you see "The Sixth Sense"? Mediums usually help dead people, and the dead don't hurt them. The dead want help.
