Of course it can. Consider that you get a telephone call in the morning from your girl friend. You leave for work a couple minutes late. Only to hit serious traffic because I-270 is closed. Apparently a truck on an overpass spilled its load onto the highway instantly killing people driving below, near the time you were supposed to drive under it. I am thankful I got to hear her sweet voice that morning.

I think so. Like the bus thing...say you miss a bus, say that bus gets in a fatal accident...that would be life changing. BTW, I LOVED the movie the Butterfly Effect and I do believe in the "unimportant" events make huge impacts. I think about my friendships and how I met my husband, got my job, what I majored in during college...all influenced by unimportant events.

Yes ma'am.Everything that happens always affects everything else, from the movement of one leaf to the energy force of a hurricane.
On a personal level, the older I get and the more I look back; the more I see the turning points in my life, both good and bad.
Enjoy your life. You are a thinker. The best advice I can give is be aware of all your options. We only get one shot at it. Make yours count.
Have a good evening, and God Bless.

Yes. I came home from a visit to my grandparents' a day early. My dad "made" me go out of town with them to a church picnic for a church we didn't even go to. I met a nice guy there. We dated and got married. We now have 2 children, 2 cars, a house, etc.... all because I got sick of baling hay!
Even when I get a phone call at the last second and it makes me late, I always believe that there's a "reason" for it -- like, because I wasn't on the road at the time I was going to be there I wasn't in the accident -- stuff like that.

A great example of how this is true theoretically is the country song sung by Joe Diffie "Third Rock From The Sun".
Yes, I believe small events shape and change our lives everyday. The older you get, the more you can look back and see this.

I don't think it does, frankly.
I think that one's destiny is pretty much spelled out by the big choices they make.
And, if you miss a bus and an opportunity passes you by, then that was meant to be, and/or another opportunity will fill in the space left by that.
I don't know who said it, but I quote it often:
"God never closes a door without opening a window."

Absolutely! Think about it< you could miss the plane and the plane could crash, you could miss a phone call and it was an old flame with only enough nerve to call once, you could stop to pick up something on the sidewalk and blah blah blah .............you get my drift???? You could ask a question and then I answer it and you check out my 360 and your whole life changes?

Yes, absolutely. My grams asked me if I wanted to go to a line-dancing convention down south, or go to Scotland. After much hemming and hawing I decided on Scotland..I met my husband (the love and light of my life) there in that brief two weeks. I shortly afterward sold all my stuff, quit my job and moved over here! (To the UK)

Yep. "One day can make your life, one day can ruin your life. All life is, is 4-5 days that change everything."
I think it's fate.
