I barely wear makeup, so when I take it off I look the same. Yet, I've seen pics of celebrities like ciara and beyonce, she's still pretty without makeup, and etc. without makeup and it's a total difference. I bet before some people wore makeup they were beautiful but does the continual use of a lot of makeup erase beauty? My mom tells how she doesn't wear powder, eye shadow, blush, just mascara and lipstick and she has never had wrinkles, blemishes, or aged skin. She's only 43 and she looks very young. So tell me what do you think?

Well, I never said Beyonce and Ciara were "perfect" with their makeup; and I know makeup is supposed to enhance your beauty but I was asking when you use makeup over a long period of time does it diminish rather than enrich it. My mother follows after my grandmother who is 75 and doesn't have a wrinkle or blemish because she nevr wore that much makeup just mascara and lipstick.

Makeup applied properly, is a wonderful thing. The liquid make up helps prevent wrinkles and why not look as nice as we can? Mascara helps bring out the beauty of the eyes and the blush helps also. Some women do not have wrinkles because they have protected the skin from harsh sun and soaps. Also your Mother may have inherited her nice soft skin. Women with massive wrinkles has inherited them or they have spent too long of time sunbathing. The sun plays havoc on the skin. You find that some old women who were sun worshipers have very wrinkled faces. You can also tell by looking at the awful wrinkles on their knee's.
The continual use of makeup, does not erase your natural beauty. It allows the beauty to show more.
When selecting products to enhance your beauty, go for the good products. I stay away from powders as it drys out the skin. At the young age of 43, the wrinkles are not there yet. Age and sun causes wrinkles. Hopefully by the age of 65 , your Mother will remain the same. Lot of it is in-herited.

It depends on how u think about it. When you say that beyonce and ciara just look " oh so perfect" that's where you are wrong. Some celebs have their pics photo edited so that they look flawless. Don't compare yourself to them! They have tons of makeup artits that make their faces a powder coated LIE! As for thet beauty part, i think u just need makeup when absolutley needed or use oil free make up so it won't clog pores. hope this helped! plz take this advice or at least try it out.

I think this is true to some extent. But I don't think make-up erases beauty as such, just that make-up may hide an individual's concept on her natural beauty. I never started to wear make-up until I was 19. Before than I always thought of myself as relatively 'pretty' but since wearing make-up enhanced my looks I started to rely on it and a day without wearing it made me feel naked. But by talking about make-up, I only wear foundation, I don't even put mascara or eye liner or lipstick on because I don't want to get used to having to 'put' these on every single day.

Make up will not erase your beauty if you use it the right way and dont apply it with a heavy hand. You also need to understand that you have to take care of your skin first and formost by cleansing and moisturizing it day and night and using a spf of at least 15 every day to protect it. and weather or not you wear make-up your skin will always be beautiful and young looking. Make - up should be used to enhance what we have not cover it up or hide. Foundation is a great product for its spf factor and it evens out skin tones it should be light feeling and not oily. and never sleep with any color on always remove it before and cleanse and moisturize at bedtime.

Makeup doesn't damage your face unless you have an allergic reaction to it, and then it's temporary. You do have to be careful around the eyes because too much tugging of the skin could make it wrinkle more over time. Basically makeup is just a matter of taste and personal choice.

IT really depends on how much a person wears and whether or not they know how to properly apply it.
If they wear a lot like the girls that go around with the heavy black eyeliner and the heavy eyeshadow and blush, then it is hiding their true beauty.
The whole purpose of makeup is to enhance your beauty and bring out your features. :0) It is important that you know how to properly apply it and know what colors to wear so that it looks right on you and it does bring your features out

I do agree with you somewhat
makeup is not good for your skin
and when always see you in make up and then they see you without any they think you are missing something
Yet if a person has never seen you with makeup before they would think you are already beautiful
I have an aunt who is 58 and has not one wrinkle in her face
she has only ever worn lipstick

Makeup, is just to help make a person not look so plain, but your real beauty, has nothing to do with makeup, because its the inner beauty that people really see.Makeup is just a mask. Or to make you appear, better.

I think the most beautiful women are beautiful on the inside....Strong confident personalities but still caring, not stuck up. If the make up is applied correctly it should enhance beauty not cover it.
