Unless it was a few drops and lasted less than a day (which is what implantation bleeding is like) it was a period and you are not pregnant. If your cycles are normal, around 28 days, try having sex on day 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18 (start counting from the first day of your period). Good luck!

Your period came therefore you aren't pregnant. Try again next month. The average couple only has about a 20% chance each cycle.

In response to katy--the week before you cycle is due is too late to concieve. Ovulation happens about 14 days before your next period and this would be the optimal time to have intercourse for the purpose of conception.

ok....if it was the first and only time he ever did.....then you wouldn't know if you are unable to get pregnant yet!! Second, if you don't know what you are talking about or how the female cycle works, you shouldn't be trying to have a kid until you figure that out!! Oh, and if you had your period, you probably aren't pregnant.

the best time to get pregnant is one to two weeks after your period is what my doc said. Also even though it sounds weird hold your legs in the air right afterwards worked for me.

You bled before your period was due? It's possible that this was implantation bleeding. Was it shorter than your normal period? Was it different?

Wait until your period is actually due, if it doesn't show take a HPT. It can't hurt to know for sure.

Good luck!
