Approx how many gallon of water per week would be neded to maintain a 1600sf lawn during the summer in the lower elevations of Arizona? I have a neighbor that i feel waters way too much. He has a type of bermuda grass.

I just know having grass in Az is stupid. Water will go first in that type of enviro DESERT then will the grass or the human drink?

twice a week, for one hour should do about 1" of water, more would drown the grass, waste the water, and cause a huge shortage, if everyone does it, as the aquifer is decreasing, and all the water in the rivers is now diverted to farms...

there are already water wars going back 50 years, there!

Not sure what a bermuda grass is but a general rule for watering is:
One inch of water a week. Turn a frisbee upside down when you water and when it overflows you are done.
