I think he peaked in Bill and Teds excellent adventure but has not really developed his acting abilities since. Talk amongst yourselves.

Because he's a) handsome, 2) not *completely* untalented, and III) one of the most decent and generous men in H'wood.

Nobody knew that The Matrix would be a smash - in fact, a lot of people thought it would completely flop. Hedging their bets, the suits in charge of the movie offered Keanu a nice percentage of the (potential) profits in exchange for a reduction of his usual fee. He agreed, the movie made a kazillion dollars, and he became a *hella* wealthy man. Fast-forward. It's standard for principal actors to get a big bump (bonus $) if movies merit a sequel and Keanu's bump for Matrix 2 was somewhere around $20M USD. When the crew wrapped shooting for the next movie, each one of them found a check for a few grand in their mailbox. Keanu had divided up his $20M bump with the crew because he gave them credit for how he made so much on the first one.
And *that's* why everybody in the biz loves him.

apparently, because producers and directors know he is still worthy of doing so. of course my answer is gonna be bias because i totally adore him. i do admit in some of his movies, his acting abilities were kind of lame. however, in all of the roles he has played as a hero (romantic) character...he has played the part well.
many of hollywood's leading men have acted in similar roles, but he brings the character to life. his acting abilities in these types of roles makes it easy for the audience to see a connection between his character and real life.
ahhhh, he is sooooooooo handsome!

Yes he's actually a hot property. If a guy could give up half his salary to see a movie finished. I would think he has had a pretty successful career

i think he is a good actor..the guys been through alot having an stillborn baby and the mom dying in a car crash..maybe he just gave up on trying..

He actually showed some potential in "The Devil's Advocate" (quit laughing, I'm being serious!), but that's it.
