That is an ignorant myth. The rightwing controls the media. If you want proof then just watch the news... who's agenda topics do you see everyday = republicans... immigration, the war on terror, Israel, etc...

Isn't Fox News the number one rated cable channel?? As for Newspapers like the New York Times, etc., they are left leaning. Studies show that journalists are 80% democrat and that comes out in their news reporting. I don't know why that is. Or why people would have such a distate for Fox because they lean right when they're guilty of the same crime. It's a weird time, my friend. Start keeping a journal. Some young whipper snapper will probably want to buy it when we're 80.

If the only news you can find that agrees with your views is on websites published directly by the Republican Party, there is a strong chance that your views are simply wrong. The news networks information all comes from the AP, a highly respected and objective group of journalists. Ask yourself, who's really most likely to print propaganda, a political party? Or a journalistic organization whose livelyhood rests on it's objectivity?

I don't think it does thank you, Fox News is the mouthpiece for the Bush administration and frankly I think more journalists are in the middle rather than right wing or left wing. That's an old political myth the backroom boys like to haul out when they're being criticized or found out using the dirty bag of tricks. Republicans have never forgiven the press for outing Nixon and his band of rogues, many of who were in the Nixon White House are still in W's White House.

I guess the answer would be that the liberals are left wing and they largely control the media, including but not limited to the newspapers, magazines, television, and radio. I would guess the conservatives do pretty well for themselves considering they own such a small percentage.

Yes, isn't it wonder the way corporate owned media, which depends on corporate advertising dollars to survive, manages to nevertheless embrace an editorial stance which is contrary to all its corporate best interests?
Get a brain dude.
