large stone hit my windshield. Several large cracks (one up to 70 cm long). Can't afford to fix it right now - would like it to last a couple more months,

You can buy a windshield repair kit at a parts store but that will stop it for now, but it is only going to get worse. If you have insurance check with them if it may be covered. The cheap and fast thing is super glue.

Cracks only grow larger. You can try super glue but it should have been put on right after the stone hit now the spiders legs are spreading.

The drilling will work. I've done that. Also, don't forget windshiels are laminated glass. So one sheet can crack and not effect the other. As long as it is not in your line of sight.
I hadn't heard of super glue, will try that next time.

There is a company called safelite they can fix dings in your windshield before they spread and it only costs about fourty dollars. Takes about 5 minutes.

use clear finger nail polish put it on the end where the crack stops all the way around this will keep it from gettig bigger and should last a couple of months

Windsheild shops have a patch that stops the cracks and disguises the chips

the best thing to do is take it to a glass shop and they may suggest that they drill a small hole where the crack is to stop the crack from spreading.

I have used crazy glue two or three times it stoped mine from spreading any further good luck.

itll last; its when it starts to leak or air comes through is when u have a problem.

i heard if you put clear nail polish on it then it will stop spreading
