Well if you go by history over the last 40 years, NO.
20 years with no war then they would do just like they did on 911, and create fake reasons for one. They can't function without a war in order to make the USA weapon's corporations rich.

First you must remember that Republicans are doing the best they can with what they have, they only have about half of the party that are ignorant, they are the ones making 150k and less, they pay and are taxed fairly, they don't know why they do it ,they are just ignorant. Then you have the other half, Neocons, they love to spread hate and start wars, because for big corporations it's profitable, very, very profitable. Ya know this moranic, hawkish plan worked for them in the past, so they don't change it, nor do they use their brains to establish a plan for world peace and a profitable way of life for all of mankind; thats what Liberals, Democrats do, and it scares the hell out of the ignorant neocons and republicans as well !If you want to watch a Republican self implode, try this, start up a conversation regarding defences, missels, the most weapons, biggest Army, most Nuclear weapons etc., and suggest that you think the United States, should disarm first and foremost because we have way to many weapons already and we are the example for other nations to follow suit, and disarm as well!

You must be too young to understand most wars were started by the Democrats. Both world wars, Korea and Viet Nam were all the result of having democrats control congress and hold the white house. Every time there is a war, the "ruling party" gets blamed for it. During Kosovo, Bosnia, and WW2, republicans did the same thing that democrats are doing now about Iraq. Politics get in the way of real progress.

The old republicans did not like war it was too expensive to them. It is these neo-cons who have hijacked the republican party that are war hungry who like it. I have no clue there is no history on these new people who love to kill.
PS I am anti war and pro live. I am libral and live still has value after birth in my opinion. I am not neo-con. I am Catholic. I am anti-war, anti-death penalty and pro life or living people. A wise nun said that she did not feel that after birth people are free to kill people.
It is not republicans per history it is Neo (New) Con (Conservatives) who are operating in the Repiblican party. Yeah these new people love war. You have that right.
I kind of think that people are losing patience for what is going on. We will have to see who supports this war thing. Look at the ratings. The usa is very anti war right now. Iraq makes no sense to may people according to polls. Bush has a low approval rating. It is being compared to that of Nixon. Wait and see before you think 20 years. If you live in the USA or otherwise please educate people who are in the dark. There are plenty of them everywhere. In and out of the usa.

well... the elder Bush decided not to go into Iraq and the economy went in the toilet... it was fine during desert storm... but no war=bad economy apparently...
even when W was in office the economy was in shambles before we went to war...
war drives an economy so much it would have made Jimmy Carter look like FDR, if Carter would have started a war... you don't need to know what you're doing... as long as you're dropping bombs somewhere...
